Shweta Tiwari Opens Up On Raising Daughter Palak Tiwari And Reyansh, ‘I Have Always Felt The Mother’s Guilt’
Shweta Tiwari is a popular television actress who garnered adulation for playing ‘Prena’ in super hit daily soap ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’. Though she was successful professionally, her personal life wasn’t going smooth. She has had two failed marriages one with Raja Chaudhary and then with Abhinav Kohli, but has always been a doting mother to her kids Palak Tiwari and Reyansh Kohli. Recently in an interview, she spoke about the challenges she faced post her failed marriages.

While speaking to ETimes, the Kasautii Zindagi Kay actress recalled that she suffered from mother's guilt syndrome after parting ways with Raja Chaudhary as she was not able t spend time with her daughter. 

She was quoted saying, “I have always felt the mother’s guilt. Especially when my daughter was growing up. During those days I didn’t have that much understanding of how to take care of my daughter. I was not in a very great position to demand from the production houses, the perks, I also didn’t have time. Whatever time I would get it would get wasted because of my messed up situation in my personal life. I have given very less time to Palak, but I sometimes feel relieved that I was able to spend some quality time with her.”



She mentioned that her house is called ‘Sita Ka Ghar’ by their neighbours and their close ones. She revealed that the majority of women stay in the house and everyone woman has gone through turbulent life. 

She asserted, “Not many people know this but my real house is known as ‘Sita ka ghar’ by people who live close by or our neighbours. They call it ‘Sita ka ghar’ because we only have a majority of women in our house. My mother, my daughter, my maids and each one of us have faced some kind of disturbance in our life. Whether it is related to husband, family, daughters, there’s something going on and our house is full of ladies. I have my father who’s very old and my son”

For the unversed, Tiwari was 18 was she got married to Chaudhary in 1999, and a year later Palak was born. They separated in 2007 when Palak was twelve years old. In 2013 she married Abhinav Kohli and parted ways in 2019 on a bitter note and out of that marriage she has a six-year-old son Reyansh. 

On the work front, the 41-year-old actress will be seen in the television serial Main Hoon Aparajita opposite Manav Gohil.
